Valor Dólar UY
@ValorDolarUY is an automated bot inspired by @ValorDolarBlue that tracks the dollar exchange rate in Uruguay and compares it with rates from Argentina, Chile, and Brazil. Built as a solo project, it fetches data from different sources, processes and formats it, and publishes regular updates focused on clarity and usability.
The Challenge
The main challenge was reliably fetching and normalizing exchange rate data from multiple sources, each with different formats and update patterns, and automating the publishing process in a consistent and understandable way.
The Solution
I implemented a Python-based automation workflow that periodically retrieves exchange rate data from public APIs, normalizes the values, and generates formatted outputs for publication. The bot was designed to be lightweight and reliable, with monitoring in place to ensure stability over time.
